MEET OUR 2025 BE OUT DAY TAMPA BAY SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Be Out Day Tampa Bay proudly awarded scholarships to support local students in their educational and musical pursuits. Through our community fundraising efforts, three students from the Bay Area attended the Marching 100 Summer Band Camp, with each receiving $800 to cover the full cost of attendance and gain valuable experience with one of the nation's most prestigious band programs. Additionally, four incoming freshmen enrolling at FAMU in the fall received $500 book stipends to assist with their academic journey. As we continue to grow, we look forward to increasing the number of recipients for both scholarships, further expanding our impact and support for the next generation of scholars and musicians within the community.

Our 2025 Band Camp scholarship recipients, Alexandra Irizarry, Jonathan Claude, and Tatianna Hunter, proudly represented Tampa Bay Technical High School, where their band director, Rondal Russell—a FAMU alum and former Marching 100 Band Member continues to inspire the next generation of musicians. The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to attend the prestigious Marching 100 Summer Band Camp, where they enhanced their musical skills, learned from esteemed instructors, and connected with fellow musicians. We look forward to sending even more students each year, expanding our impact and support for young musicians in the Bay Area.
